At McAvoy CPA LLC the health and safety of our staff and clients are our top priority. With the COVID-19 virus having an increasing impact in our community, we want to let you know how our business is addressing this situation.

Currently, our offices are open by appointment only. We require masks be worn in our office out of respect for our team and clients. However, we have a drop box and offer various secure, electronic ways to share work and collaborate with our clients.

Here are additional proactive steps we have put in place:

  1. All clients are encouraged to use our Secure Firm Portal to send us files and exchange documents online. You can access the portal via our website or
  2. Similarly, clients are encouraged to utilize our TaxCaddy application. This phone and/or computer-based application provides a fully electronic way to provide us with your tax documents, send tax returns, and provide electronic signatures. If you'd like to utilize this application, please give our office a call and we can send you an invitation.

We have compiled a summary of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act and Families First Coronavirus Response Act to aid individuals, self-employed individuals, and business owners in understanding this new legislation, linked below. Additionally, below are links to the Department of Labor's website and the poster that all employers must post in their workplace notifying employees of their rights under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. New Jersey has published a poster detailing COVID-19 employment scenarios and the benefits available to employees, also linked below.
